Environmental Photographer of the Arts
Growing up I was always involved in the arts due to my parents, a graphic designer and a fine artist. I was always dancing, singing, occasionally partaking in my high school theatre group, & photographing. My dad introduced me to photography & gave me my first film camera.
I began studying photography on black & white film & considered myself a purist. "Uh-Uh Digital, no way you're getting at me", but alas, at Penn State I had to take digital courses & soon realized I LOVE color! My photos are very vibrant & I'm a very bright, quirky, spontaneous, & warm person, so I like to think that my photos express my personality.
I now mainly focus on music artists but no matter what I'm photographing, I like to capture the moments between the moments, the candids, the photos that show who people really are. By photographing the arts, I'm connecting all my loves into one & capturing all the feels I've felt thru these artists & hopefully spreading the joy art has always brought to me.
“Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited to all we now know and understand, while imagination embraces the entire world, and all there ever will be to know and understand.”
